"In Retrospect" Post♥

This a Memory Post on Primary 5 Camp. Pretty long ago. I will try my very best to remember as many of it as I can:

Monday 11/04/2005

FIRST DAY
Today is an unforgettable day. When I first reached school, I had butterflies in my stomach. This was because it was the first camp I will be attending. Yet, it was a fun and unforgettable day.

Early in the morning, I went to school. Then I went to queue up by class. Later, we board the bus.

...(no memory on this part)...

As we reached our destination, which is a camp somewhere at Bukit Timah Road, Dairy Farm? No Idea. I carried my heavy luggage down and went to the canteen/hall. Then, we were divided into small groups. The group I'm in was Interdependence. Here's the people in the group:

(NO Full names)
-Girls-
Tiffany
Wei Foong
Jing Wen
Se Yong
Regina
Eileen
Sandy(LEADER)
Jia Hui
Daphne

-Boys-
Ye Chem
Nicholas
Chuan Yao
Jovin
Shi Kai
Marx
Zavier
Jing Yong
Xinming
Jia Hao
Wei Jie
Jin Ming(LEADER)

We went to visit our dorm next. The door was label 6A. It was a two-story house. We placed out bags there.

At Afternoon, we went to have our lunch. There were vegetables, chicken wings, mango and banana.

After lunch, we washed our plates. Then we went to play. The place was covered with stones. The instructors took us to play at the stone wall. However, half-way through there was lightning and thunder so all activities had have to stop. Thus, we stopped and went indoor. We did indoor activity(I can't recall what was it about) until the rain stop. It was then time for us to eat dinner and then we went to sleep. Oh, before I forget, there was duty for our team to do today and it was to wash the boys restroom. =.= Luckily, the boys had offered to wash themselves.

Later that night, it was a noisy night... (hahaz)

SECOND DAY
Today, all the girls woke up at 6 o' clock. We prepared ourselves, then we went to the canteen/hall together to have our breakfast. Today breakfast was Nasi-Lemak. After breakfast, we went to have our lesson on outdoor fuel cooking. As we had just had our breakfast, we did not cook maggi, but Milo. However, if you were there, you wouldn't dare to drink up the milo at full stomach as the water was contaminated with dead bugs and unidentified floating objects. (The water was left overnight). Luckily for the next group of students, they had clean water as we were the ones washing the whole bucket of water and refilling for them.

Later, we went to climb the wall. Ok, I'm not really fond of walls and the walls aren't very fond of me, So I kind of failed. The next game was to swing like Tarzan. The weather was very hot that my one litter water bottle was finished in jeopardy speed by my team-mates. (and I won't say who). We played many rounds before proceeding to the next station. The next station was called "Revive". It was just made up of an abandoned truck tire and the team members had to carry him/her to cross the wheel. It was pretty fun I guess, since I wrote in my diary it was memorable. Oh lol. The next game we played is two tall wooden poles and we need to cross from one end to the other end by gripping on the net which binds them. It scares me and I didn't participated in that. Eileen didn't play too.

However, I tried at the next game. It was similar to the previous, but it just require balance on a wire. It seemed easier than the previous so I gave it a try. The instructor mentioned to us that we are not supposed to cross the wire if he was talking to someone and just happened when it was my turn, it happened. LOL.

We went to bathe after that and sing some songs in the hall. Hahaz. I forgot to mention the cheer that Sandy have came out with(with some edition by Xinming). It was actually changing the lyrics for a graduation song we always have in our school. It's a chinese cheer(Friends), but I try my best to translate it before I show the one that I remembered:

- English translated Version -

All these years, when we were in school, we often fight, but no one was hurt.
We sometimes get hurt, we done wrong, but do we remember what is determination?

Knowing to take revenge, we then will learn, you hit me, I hit you back.
We have dreams, we will remember, in our hearts.

Friends forever walk together, the memories we have forgotten. A word from you, I will remember. If you hit me, I will hit you back.

Friends never feel lonely before, but it's hard to say for enemies. We sometimes get hurt, we done wrong, even if everyone left you, there's still me.

- Chinese Version -

Haha...such memories we had when we made the hall filled with laughter by our unique lyrics. I can't guarantee the lyrics at that time was exactly the same as most of us were only notified at short notice. Nobody dared the question our leader for our leader barks. It was perfect :D

Oh, and this was in my diary: LOL. Ha-ha....such funny memories. Ok, it you are so free, then you can go enlarge it. If not, SKIP-
Oh Wait! I forgot to tell you an angry thing. Tiffany and Jia Hui said I AM XU XINMING WIFE? I'm not okay?! Jia Hui at that time was sitting on my lap and she called Xinming, "Xinming! You see I sitting on your "wife". Must hug her more than 5 times for it. You got or not? " Whew. Seems like everyone this age is like this...
(*Note: I only get to know Tiffany and Jia Hui from this camp - no other girls was from my class)

Diaoz...if you seriously went to read it. HAHAZ. I'm so Childish that time. I am a child that time LOL

THIRD DAY

Horray! Today we are going home, but my watch went missing! How sad was it. We quickly packed out bag, cleaned up the place, ate breakfast and went back to school. We saw paper cows too.

Oh, and the breakfast was too spicy. I managed to finish half of it, but I guess it was a really good try, since when I opened up the rubbish bin, the breakfast the students had poured away filled to the brim of the rubbish bin( imagine how spicy it was ).

P.S. I found my watch later on. There were bad memories on the bugs but in overall it was a fruitful camp, and a first good impression I had on camps. lol.
